Murals: Community and Public

A mural to celebrate the work undertaken by ‘Urban Buzz’ and Leicester City Council Parks and Open Spaces. Situated near the main entrance to the park.

This mural is certainly the longest I have ever completed, reaching a total length of 110 meters.

It was commissioned by Leicester City Council’s Planning Department on a de-development site by the side of the River Soar.

The plant forms reflect the natural vegetation flourishing on the river bank, wild flowers have since been planted in the bed beneath the wall.

A participatory mural project working with young people to design and paint a pedestrian bridge in their town centre of Coalville, Leicestershire.

This mural transformed an unloved underpass into a walk way where residents of Thurmaston Village now take pleasure in walking through.

The murals illustrate the 2 sides of the village which is divided by a dual carriageway above the underpass. Children from 4 local schools were involved in the design stage.

A public art commission for ‘Ground Works’ to promote a greener, environmentally friendly Leicester.
