Kirsty worked closely with our staff and transformed their topic needs into a creative project. The standard of work the children created under her lead was outstanding. It gave the children a belief that they were all talented artists. The work transformed our corridors.

Kirsty has worked with all children across our school, including the Nurture group. The Nurture group has worked with a whole range of materials, and produced wall hangings, sculptures, mosaics, as well as drawing and painting with watercolours and acrylics.

The activities Kirsty has done have been broken down into simple steps so that they are accessible to all, regardless of learning needs. The activities are planned so that the children can work either as a group or independently – but produce work of extremely high quality which we cannot reproduce.

The school’s resident artist provides an inspiring role-model for the pupils and helps them make a range of attractive artefacts which are displayed around the school. A strong emphasis on including a wide range of information and resources in lessons successfully promotes pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
